Intro:
For investigation #2 we use a website http://www.biology.arizona.edu/cell_bio/activities/cell_cycle/01.html in order to complete our investigation. We visit the website and match together the phases of cells with the images they provide for us. We calculate all of our data on a table provided for us. We then determine how many cells are in each of the different faces and calculate the time used in the phases.
Hypthesis
If the cell is going through the process of Mitosis then the greatest time spent will be between interphase and prophase due to going through checkpoints.

2.Organize the different stages: Prophase,Metaphase,Anaphase and Telophase
3. Now you can count, label and place images in data table.
4.Find percentage: # of cells counted in a specific phase divided by total amount of cells in all phases.
5.Place your data and work on analysis.

Analysis:
- To calculate the amount of time spent in each phase of the cell cycle from the percentage of cells in that stage. On the average, it take 1,440 minutes (24 hours) for onion root tip cells to complete the cell cycle.
Conclusion:
To conclude I have proven my hypothesis correct that the greatest time spent was between interphase and prophase.Due to my calculations I discovered that the most time was first spent in interphase and then prophase.My hypthesis was thi because I knew it takes quite some time inorder to prepare the cell to go through Mitosis. The cell must and needs to have all its correct organelles and make sure everything is place. When it is it makes the rest of the cycle quick and easy to go unless mutations occur.
